Introducing SEND Champions from Pupil Pathways
At Pupil Pathways our aim is to help you give every child the best start at secondary school. Our collaborative transition platform SixIntoSeven supports schools, MATs and local authorities to work together more effectively to deliver a successful, inclusive transition, particularly for SEND and vulnerable pupils.
This year we’ve launched our SEND Champions initiative, which aims to equip each school’s SENCO or Transition Lead with all the information and materials needed to get the most out of SixIntoSeven and deliver a smooth transition for all pupils.
We understand that a successful transition depends on a range of people working together. The SENCO plays a vital role in communicating a pupil’s needs, experiences and support requirements to the destination secondary school and we hope our SEND Champion pack will help SENCOs to use SixIntoSeven to its fullest potential.
If you are in a school that uses SixIntoSeven:
- Your SEND Champion pack will be sent to you via email in February, we hope you find it useful!
- Don’t forget to register for one of our SEND Champions: Transition Success twilight sessions with Transition Matters founder Liz Stevenson
If you are not in a school that uses SixIntoSeven but would like to find out more about the SixIntoSeven platform and supporting SEND and vulnerable pupils through transition, please get in touch.
Thank you for being a Pupil Pathways SEND Champion!
