Partner Local Authorities

A Partner Local Authority (PLA) is a Local Authority (LA) which does not have a SixIntoSeven contract for managing primary to secondary transition but interacts with an LA which does. This could be either sending pupils to SixIntoSeven secondary school, or welcoming pupils from a SixIntoSeven primary school. 

We believe that in both these cases, the pupils should enjoy the benefits of SixIntoSeven and we have therefore developed our free-to-use SixIntoSeven Lite service. We recognise that sometimes, it is the more vulnerable pupils who move to new LAs and that they will benefit most from the early arrival of transition information. 

How SixIntoSeven Lite works for:

• Primary schools in PLAs:
  • A primary school in a PLA will be invited by a SixIntoSeven secondary school to create a free account on SixIntoSeven. 
  • The primary school will then be able to upload all the transition information for the relevant pupil(s). This information can include documents such as attendance records, EHCPs and other statements. Crucially, the primary school will be confident that the data they share will be through a GDPR-compliant service which includes all legal documentation. 
  • The destination secondary school has immediate access to this information once uploaded to SixIntoSeven Lite​
• Secondary schools in PLAs
  • Secondary schools who are receiving pupils from SixIntoSeven primary schools will be invited by a SixIntoSeven primary school to create a free account.
  • The secondary school will then be able to view detailed transition information in SixIntoSeven Lite for the pupil(s) they are receiving, to enable early planning for September. 
• Partner Local Authority teams
  • Colleagues within the PLA will be able to access a summative dashboard showing all the pupils moving into and out of their authority and transferring to a SixIntoSeven LA. In most cases, they will be able to identify pupils with specific characteristics such as SEND and LAC as well as attendance records.  It is important to note that this information will only be available to PLAs if their schools have registered for SixIntoSeven Lite
